SIP3 Announces Partnership with Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in Ukraine

Over the last year, the SIP3 team has been helping young telecom talents grow their skills within the SIP3 community. As the contributions to the SIP3 platform increased, more and more younger developers and students started expressing their interest in trying it out.

We are very happy to announce our partnership with the V.V. Popovsky Department of Infocommunication Engineering, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics which aims to help students use SIP3 for practical and laboratory work throughout their course of education.

SIP3 as a tool for VoIP network research and studies

V.V. Popovsky Department of Infocommunication Engineering will be using the VoIP troubleshooting and monitoring tool as part of the following university subjects:

    • Multiservice communication networks of the next generation
    • Design methods for multiservice systems and networks
    • Configuration and programming of New Generation Networks
    • NGN software configuration
    • Infocommunication services and quality of service in Infocommunication network

In addition, the department also conducts research with the help of SIP3 in the field of ensuring the quality of service in infocommunication networks, including VoIP networks, quality of media and voice transmission, reliability, and VoIP network security and fraud detection.

As part of our future collaboration, we plan to help the university set up and configure SIP3, as well as to conduct testing and analysis of QoS assessment algorithms used in the SIP3 platform.

Join our community

As part of our mission we keep spreading the knowledge of VoIP troubleshooting and monitoring to as many telecom enthusiasts as possible. Various open source projects in the telecommunications industry have originated at universities (Janus, Kamailio and many more). We would love inspiring more students to start their own project.
